As Dean of the Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) and the Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC), it is my pleasure to welcome you to this website on behalf of the over 250 dedicated doctors and 700 plus healthcare professionals who work together to provide seamless and essential healthcare services.
The care and comfort of our patients is our topmost priority. Our primary focus is to deliver exceptional care that exceeds national standards in quality, safety and patient satisfaction, and elation. At SUHRC, everything is designed keeping the patient in mind - the serene, natural environment, the pleasant interiors and the state-of-the-art facilities. We believe that all these factors help patients feel relaxed and comfortable, in an atmosphere quite like home, leading to a quicker recovery. In addition to providing treatment for illnesses, we emphasise the preventive aspects of healthcare through educational events for the public at large, check-ups and lifestyle advice. This site will introduce health information and patient education resources for you to explore.
At the very core of the SUHRC is the dedicated workforce of highly specialised and internationally trained, full-time doctors, and sincere and hardworking nurses supported ably by qualified and well-trained ancillary staff. Each employee is part of a large family and is treated so. Importantly, we recognise that we need to care for our staff and ensure their well-being so they can provide excellent patient care. We ensure better sleep patterns, improved eating habits, increased physical exercise, better alertness at work and reduced stress levels. We believe this will help build confidence, resilience, job satisfaction and overall well-being.
SUHRC is the teaching hospital of the Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW). With only 17% of doctors being women, SMCW has been established with the primary objective of contributing to the national task force of lady doctors. The lady doctors being trained at SMCW will be thorough professionals, instilled with values of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and who are committed to health care excellence. An ethical approach to clinical practice and compassion towards the poor and needy are moral values which we strive to impart to every medical student here.
It is my privilege to be a part of this exceptional team of people who are passionate about providing the very best care for our patients and their families. Wishing you great health and happiness, peace, prosperity and plenty, always and forever.
