The Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC) was founded by Hon’ble Prof (Dr) S B Mujumdar, Chancellor of Symbiosis International University in 2019. Prof (Dr) SB Mujumdar is an acclaimed Educationist with numerous awards and citations to his credit including the prestigious Padma Shri (2005) and Padma Bhushan (2012) awarded to him by the President, Govt of India for his outstanding work and contributions to the field of Education. Today, the Symbiosis International University (SIU) has multiple campuses in India with students from all parts of India along with international students from over 45 countries.

The SUHRC is the teaching hospital of the co-located Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW). In order to provide quality health care to the poor and the needy and also provide a rich experiential exposure to the medical students of SMCW, all the free services which are available at Govt hospitals are provided free of all charges to patients coming to the SUHRC. Today, SUHRC has over 150 medical college teaching faculty, over 300 nursing staff and 750 supporting staff. SUHRC offers 24 X 7 X 365 free health care to patients at SUHRC. Spacious Out-patient clinics, comfortable in-patient wards, State of Art Equipment, high quality lab and imaging services are available at SUHRC. The out-patient load of over 1000 per day and the over 75% bed occupancy at the hospital bear testimony to the high quality health care being delivered at SUHRC. The hospital is empaneled with various Govt agencies for provision of health schemes like MJPJAY, Ayushman Bharat, CGHS, ECHS, ESI, PMC amongst others.

The Specialty wing of the SUHRC offers comprehensive tertiary health care services in all Super-specialties. Providing ethical, high quality health care at affordable rates underscores all activities at the specialty Centre of SUHRC.
