On November 16, 2024, Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Center, Pune, hosted an engaging and hands-on Fistula-in-Ano live operative workshop, welcoming nine colorectal surgeons from various parts of India.
In-Depth Lectures: Comprehensive presentations covered modern anal anatomy, innovative approaches to fistula classification, and cutting-edge surgical techniques for treating fistula-in-ano.
Live Operative Demonstrations: Seven live surgical cases were performed, spanning both simple and complex fistulas. Each case provided unique learning opportunities for attendees.
Hands-On Experience: Attendees engaged in hands-on sessions, with preoperative MRI fistulogram discussions tailored to each case.
Special MRI Fistulogram Session: Dr. Amol Sir and his radiology team led an insightful session on interpreting MRI fistulograms, including a tour of the MRI suite to demonstrate the acquisition process and introduce advanced imaging techniques. The workshop concluded with a certificate ceremony, with Dr. Prasad Bhanap, Medical Superintendent, presenting participation certificates to all attendees.
